To our valued runners, groups and companies that have registered for Manulife Danang International Marathon 2020,

Our long-standing mission has always been to provide a unique running experience at one of the most magnificent marathon courses in Asia for thousands of runners from across the world. However, we – the organizer of Manulife Danang International Marathon – can only do this when we can guarantee the safety for all participants, the running community, the host city as well as the local community of Danang city.

All of our preparations for the race have been ready and this year’s medal is awaiting our runners. But, as informed recently by government authorities and media, there has been a new reported confirmed case of SARS-CoV-2 in Danang City and the source of the case remains unknown. Therefore, in order to ensure the health and safety of all participants, volunteers, staff, our sponsors and partners that support the race, we regret to inform you that the Manulife Danang International Marathon 2020 race, which takes place on August 9, will be officially canceled. 

However, we do not want you to leave months of training behind and have no finish line in front, hence we are preparing in this unprecedented situation an alternative virtual race to ensure that we continue the spirit and support of Vietnam, and most importantly Danang city.

As this is a force majeure, we hope for your understanding in this situation and we would like to send our sincere apologies for this sudden change. We also hope that you will not give up and will accomplish your set goals anywhere you are under safe conditions.
